CATCH-UP SUNDAY - MONSTER HUNTER TRI RELEASE DATE

Fans most likely already know, others probably don't care and we... we just want to be complete: Capcom has revealed its release plans for Monster Hunter Tri on Wii.

Capcom Entertainmenthas revealed its release timing for one of their most highly-anticipated Spring titles: Monster Hunter Tri.

Western Wii owners can join the hunt of Monster Hunter Tri as the hit Japanese phenomenon makes its debut for Wii in North America and Europe in April. Showcasing the full power of Wii with some of the most strikingly beautiful graphics seen on the platform, Monster Hunter Tri puts players in the role of hunter co-existing in a dynamic, living ecosystem where monsters interact not only with players but other monsters as well. New environments, such as underwater and volcano, present fresh challenges as the hunt can happen on dry land or underwater- a first for the franchise.

Monster Hunter Tri features one of the most robust online experiences to be found on Wii with four player online co-op and two player co-op arena quests. For the first time ever, a new Story Mode will ease players into the world of Monster Hunter through quests that introduce game mechanics slowly. Offering varied control configurations to suit their style of play, players can choose between various controllers and schemes to slay the majestic beasts that inhabit the world.

Nintendo are taking over the marketing for this in Europe so should be interesting to see how well they push it. Have played the PSP games and wasn't too keen but I'm open minded for this.

Monster Hunter Tri with a Classic Pro controller bundle and Red Steel 2 with Motion Plus bundle sounds great to me.

Not to mention Xenoblade, The Last Story, Metroid Other M, Mario Galaxy 2, and the rumored Zelda title. This year will be great for Nintendo.

^ Only issue with Xenoblade is that it looked a little rough when Nintendo tossed it to press at E3, not showing it during the conference for whatever reason. I'm hopeful the game has been touched up since then.

But yeh, this year is a good year for Wii owners (I'm looking forward to seeing how Final Fantasy like The Last Story will be) and that's just the games that are announced. I can guarantee there will/are a few other things lingering behind the scenes.

As long as Xenoblade is a sequel to Xenogear not Xeno Saga, I will get it in a heart beat. I want to support good old fashion JRPG genre, so on the top of my list I will get Xenoblade and The Last Story, if I have money left I will get Monster Hunter Tris and Red Steel 2.

I will get Galaxy 2 and Metroid once the price come down a bit or used since I am not worry about those games' sales.

Unfortunately, Xenoblade has nothing to do with either Xenogear or Xeno Saga and only changed from being called Monada as a testimony to the lead developer on the game having worked on those. And to make it recognisable from a sales point of view.

A man can dream, just put some giant robot into that ARPG and I get very high/drunk, it will look like Xenogear to me.
