METROID PRIME COULD RETURN

Metroid Prime producer Kensuke Tanabe has told the Official Nintendo Megazine "We are always planning to make new games in the Metroid Prime series." When asked about the platform, he responded "Depending on the timing and the situation, we cannot deny the possibility of realising it on DS or DSi."

A sequel to the DS's iteration would prove hugely successful with Nintendo's serious gamer crowd. However, will this come soon enough to be released on the Wii, or are we looking at a possible launch title for the Wii HD? Post your thoughts below!

I'd welcome more Metroid Prime with arms wide open. The series really have been fantastic. You only have to look at many games coming out now that are trying to replicate the level design and immersion. I don't think it'll be subtitled Prime if there are more though. That part of the saga, if you will, is closed although the ending to Corruption shows there's definitely more to come.

A new DS Metroid would be great. I never understood all the hate towards Hunters. Yes, it was repetitive but it was playing within the confines of the hardware but I reckon Nintendo could push it a bit further now, based off of some of the games that have come out since. A possible launch title for Wii HD though? I'm still not seeing Wii HD happening but I'd reckon there'll be a Metroid game for the next console's launch, or there abouts.
