MIGHT & MAGIC: CLASH OF HEROES - FACTS AND SCREENSHOTS

Earlier this week we got to add a new game to our database that made quite some Nintendo DS gamers happy: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes. Today, we bring you the first details and screenshots on the title, which'll make the strategy and RPG fans a little sad...

Ubisoft has announced that it will launch a new title in the Might & Magic universe. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, a puzzle RPG that was developed by Capybara Games, creators of award-winning handheld and mobile games, will be available on Nintendo DS and it will be released in August 2009.

Through five unique and epic quests, players will alternate exploration and turn-based puzzle battles in the game to save the world of Ashan from demonic chaos. Might & Magic Clash of Heroes also adopts a brand new manga-style art design that is perfectly suited to Nintendo DS. In a world populated by knights, elves, wizards, necromancers and demons, gamers can manage their own hero, customize their army and lead campaigns in the mythic Might & Magic world.

"Our fans have always appreciated the depth and richness of the Might & Magic universe," said Romain de Waubert de Genlis, senior producer at Ubisoft. "The teams at Ubisoft and Capybara were inspired to extend that universe in a unique way onto the DS, creating an engaging new game experience."

As a fanatic of Heroes of Might & Magic, I hate this "chibi-kawaii" character design. New World Computing would have done a very different game.

It's based on the Might and Magic series, not HoMM. I have to admit it more or less disappointed me too. Would've been nice to see HoMM 2 or 3 on DS...
