Who hasn´t heard from them before? Boy-genius Dexter and his stupid, destructive sister Deedee from Cartoon Network. The cartoons are quite fun to watch, and now they´ve got their own GBA-game...
During the intro, Dexter (our hero) is quietly at work, while his sister Deedee crawls into the clone-a-matic. Suddenly there are over 150 small Deedee´s...
Dexter doesn´t want to get punished by his parents, so it´s up to him (and you) to collect all Deedee´s and reunite them into a whole sister.
The game consists of a few area´s, each divided into a number of sub-levels. In each of these sub-levels there are some Deedee´s hidden, but some of them are behind a trap or behind barrier. To get rid of these, you´ll have to throw a switch, repair a machine or whatsoever.
Dexter and Deedee aren´t the only ones in the lab, there are also numerous enemies, varying from robots to giant man-eating plants. Luckily for Dexter, there are some weapons hidden throughout the levels, so he´ll be able to defend himself.
Dexters Lab: Deesaster Strikes doesn´t know a multiplayer-mode, but it has several other pro´s...
First of all, the sound is GREAT! The ingame melodies are quite well-known and you´ll find yourself humming with it after a few minutes. Secondly, there´s a ´gamma-correction´ available in the game. For those unfamiliar with this: adjust the screen-lightening! NO MORE DARK SCREENS!
Cons: graphics could had been improved (according to me) and the puzzles aren´t that hard. Most of the time it´s just walking back one sub-level and use the recently found item.
