Many older gamers already know this game from other consoles and PC... Now it´s time for the new generation gamers to taste the action supplied by this game: Doom!
Doom is a 3D Shooter. For those who don´t know this genre (shame on you!): just imagine you´re walking through a building, filled with demons. The only thing that can save you, is your shotgun. This, and more, all in 3D!
Doom hasn´t lost anything in time. The GBA version is a straightly ported version from the original. This means no new levels, no new monsters and no new weapons. On the other hand, it gives the older gamers a feeling of recognition...
Another point of discussion, is the controls. Who could think of putting all the controls (turn, walk, strafe, shoot, run, open, switch weapon, map-mode, etc) in just 6 buttons?
I can tell you: they managed! This running and shooting is all very fun, but it´s even more fun when playing it with or against your friends (they won´t be your friends afterwards...)
There are 2 types of multiplay: first, there´s the all-time deathmatch just shoot your friends. This mode can be played with up to 4 people.
Secondly, there´s the 2-player cooperation. In this mode, you and your friend will have to help each other getting through the levels and defeat the monsters.
