Review

RPG lover: behold! Since Nintendo/Camelot comes with a classic, called ´Golden Sun´.

Golden Sun was a great RPG (Role Playing Game) on Nintendo´s first 16-bit console: the SNES. Many great RPG´s followed, but Golden Sun was one to remember...
I´ll start trying to explain how it´s possible to get such a score (99%) is possible.
The reason is very simple: A really long game(after 16 hours of playing, I had only 20% completed!), nice music/sound, great graphics, combined with an even better story. Putting 1 and 1 together, this game receives a very high rating...

First something about the graphics. As you can see on the various screenshots, this game is very colorful. The many battles are almost better. The fights are turn-based depending on player-attributes, such as agility. What´s even more important, is that the battles are fought in a (sort of) 3D view! You can see your characters jump at enemies, or dodge their attacks.

But there´s even more fun while battling! Every character has his or her own special abilities, such as spells (called psynergy) Apart from this, you can also catch some Pokémon-like creatures, called Djinn, which can stand by during battle. Both of these battle-techniques come with very nice animations.

This psynergy can also be used outside of battle. For Example, you can use a ´frost´ spell to turn some puddle of water into a pillar of ice and use it to get on the other side of a cliff. This inspired the creators of this fabulous game to add a number of puzzles, based on using psynergy.

Enough about the graphics, battles and abilities. Let´s talk about the story! Glad you asked...
When our main character (you) were young, a giant rock fell down your hometown. One your friends fell into a river due to this. On your way to try saving him, you overhear two suspicious looking persons... Next thing you remember is being bumped on your head...

Many years later, you investigate a temple on the same mountain the rock came from. You discover a ancient chamber with four elemental stars. Three of the four stars get stolen by the suspicious looking persons, but what´s even worse: two of your friends are being kidnapped by them as well. It´s up to you to regain the elemental stars, free your friends and kick some villain butt!

But what´s the most wanted aspect of RPG-players? MULTIPLAY!
And yes, the developers have finally added a battle option to challenge your friends.

I think it´s not exaggeration when I´m saying:
"ALL RPG-lovers should buy this game!"
